Cleaning and caring

Before using for the first time:
Clean the cookware thoroughly and cleanse in boiling water. Dry, rub evenly with oil and heat briefly on the stove.

Protecting the coating:
Do not use a knife to cut food inside your cookware and do not use any metal or sharp-edged utensils to stir. Please use only kitchen accessories which are made of plastic or wood.

Avoid overheating:
Never heat your cookware empty or with oil on a high heat for longer than 5 minutes. Overheating will damage the coating and cause it to lose its nonstick properties. If a pot has been overheated, leave it on the stove with the heat turned off and allow it to cool.

Plastic handles:
Cookware with plastic handles is not suitable for use in the oven.

Stainless steel handles:

Cookware with stainless steel handles is particularly suitable for use on gas stoves and in the oven.

Glass lid:

Never cool a hot glass lid with cold water.

Use of glass ceramic stoves:
When an exposed aluminum base is frequently pushed back and forth  on a glass ceramic surface, traces of aluminum may rub off. Aluminum marks can be removed using Fissler glass ceramic care products.

To avoid the risk of burns caused by oil boiling over or spitting, always use a high-sided pot for deep-frying and never fill the pot more than half full with oil. Do not use a lid, and do not overheat (maximum oil temperature 200°C)
